Is BlueChip legal in Bangladesh?
BlueChip holds a Curaçao licence. It is a foreign licence and does not make betting legal in Bangladesh.
The Gambling Prevention Act, 2026 came into force on 1 July 2026 and replaced the Public Gambling Act 1867. It makes online gambling an offence with up to 5 years in prison or a fine of up to Tk 1 crore, and online betting an offence with up to 7 years or up to Tk 5 crore. Section 20 of the Cyber Security Ordinance 2025 also covers gambling in cyberspace, including promoting it, with up to 2 years or Tk 1 crore.
