- The US name for a match-winner bet. So what: in cricket it is the two-way match winner.
- Margin
- The share of all stakes a bookmaker keeps on average, built into the odds. So what: a lower margin means more of your stake comes back over time.

How does a football point spread work?
The favourite must win by more than the spread. With −7.5, it must win by 8 or more; the underdog at +7.5 covers by losing by 7 or less, or winning.
How many teams are in the College Football Playoff?
Twelve. The format expanded from four teams for the 2024 season and stays at 12 for 2026–27.
Why are key numbers important?
Many games end with margins of 3 or 7 points, the value of a field goal and a converted touchdown. A spread of 2.5 and 3.5 can be very different bets.
What is a total?
A bet on whether the combined points end over or under the bookmaker's line.
Is online betting legal in Bangladesh?
