Guides · Odds
Odds tell you two things: how much a winning bet pays and how likely the bookmaker thinks the outcome is. Bookmakers serving Bangladeshi bettors usually show decimal odds, where 2.60 means a ৳100 stake returns ৳260 if it wins.
This guide converts between formats, turns odds into probabilities and shows how to find the margin hidden in every price.
Short answer
Decimal odds × stake = what a winning bet returns. 1 ÷ odds = the chance the price implies. Add up the implied chances of every outcome and the amount over 100% is the bookmaker's margin: 4.9% for Krikya in our example T20.
Odds formats
The format does not change the price: 2.00, 1/1 and +100 pay exactly the same.
| Decimal | Fractional | American | Probability | Payout on ৳100 | Win on ৳100 | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.50 | 1/2 | −200 | 66.7% | ৳150 | ৳50 | clear favourite. |
| 1.91 | 10/11 | −110 | 52.4% | ৳191 | ৳91 | a common price on near-even markets. |
| 2.00 | 1/1 | +100 | 50.0% | ৳200 | ৳100 | even money: double your stake back. |
| 2.60 | 13/8 | +160 | 38.5% | ৳260 | ৳160 | the underdog in our example T20. |
| 4.00 | 3/1 | +300 | 25.0% | ৳400 | ৳300 | about one time in four. |
| 11.00 | 10/1 | +1000 | 9.1% | ৳1,100 | ৳1,000 | a long shot. |
Calculated: probability = 1 ÷ decimal odds. The payout includes the stake.

Glossary
The total return per 1 taka staked, including the stake. Odds of 2.60 return ৳260 on a ৳100 stake: ৳160 profit plus your ৳100.
Divide 1 by the decimal odds. Odds of 2.00 imply 50%, odds of 1.50 imply about 66.7%.
The amount by which the implied probabilities of all outcomes add up to more than 100%. In our example T20, NAGAD88 has the lowest margin at 4.8% and 20bet the highest at 6.5%.
Each bookmaker sets its own margin and reacts to its own customers' bets. Comparing prices before you bet is the simplest way to pay less margin.
None changes the price. Decimal is the easiest to calculate with, which is why most sites show it by default.
No. The Gambling Prevention Act 2026, passed on 1 July 2026, replaced the Public Gambling Act 1867 and makes online gambling and online betting offences, with prison terms of up to five and seven years respectively, or fines, or both. A bookmaker's foreign licence does not change this. See our responsible gambling page.
