Moneyline betting: pick the winner, read the price
A moneyline is the US name for a match-winner bet: you pick who wins, with no handicap. In a T20 or ODI it is a two-way market; in football a draw adds a third outcome.
Below we read moneyline odds in all three formats, compare prices and explain what happens when a match is tied.

Short answer
How do moneyline odds work?
The favourite has the lower odds and the higher implied chance. In our example T20, Bangladesh at 2.60 implies 38.5% and India at 1.50 implies 66.7%; together they come to more than 100%, and the excess is the margin.

FAQ
What is a moneyline bet?
A bet on who wins the match, with no handicap. It is called the match winner at most bookmakers.
What do +150 and −200 mean?
American odds. +150 pays 150 profit on a 100 stake (decimal 2.50); −200 means you stake 200 to win 100 (decimal 1.50).
What happens if a T20 is tied?
A Super Over usually decides the result, and the match-winner bet is settled on it. Rules for abandoned or no-result matches differ between bookmakers, so read them.
Is the favourite a safer bet?
It wins more often but pays less. Over time what matters is whether the price is higher than the true chance.
Is online betting legal in Bangladesh?
No. The Gambling Prevention Act 2026, passed on 1 July 2026, replaced the Public Gambling Act 1867 and makes online gambling and online betting offences, with prison terms of up to five and seven years respectively, or fines, or both. A bookmaker's foreign licence does not change this. See our responsible gambling page.
